Position Details
Band 5 Dietitian, fixed term contract until 30.06.2027, at West Suffolk Foundation Trust, Bury St Edmunds.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will manage a clinical caseload across both medical and surgical wards to provide dietetic therapy to inpatients. As a department, we provide student placements and the postholder will be involved in the training programme which will include supervising students and contributing to assessments. The postholder will also hold one general clinic a week, which will include patients referred for nutrition support, IBS and a range of other conditions requiring dietetic input.

Education & Qualification
* Degree or equivalent dietetic qualification
* Health care professions council registration
* Member of the BDA
Experience & Knowledge
* Clinical placement experience including acute wards and outpatients
* Experience of managing multiple wards or equivalent workload
* Experience of managing patients in a clinic setting
* Understanding of clinical governance
* Experience of quality issues and audit
Skills & Abilities
* Excellent time and workload management skills
* Able to impart knowledge and skills at different levels, in different environments.
* Ability to prioritise, use own initiative and problem solve
* Ability to work to a high standard, with accuracy within a busy environment
* Ability to recognise and work within limits of the role.
