Location: Sale, Cheshire, North West, UKCome and join us as a Technical Officer at our Sale office in Greater ManchesterPart of wienerberger UK & Ireland, youll be joining Building Product Design, a leader in the fields of roofing ventilation, construction membranes, building ventilation, and specialised building products.About the roleWe are currently recruiting for two Technical Officers to join our technical team based in Sale.The technical team provide support and technical advice to our internal and external customers related to the technical elements of our product range. This includes reviewing construction plans/drawing and providing design and technical advice to customers.The role can be fast paced and varied, as part of your work will support commercial enquiries which require a quick turnaround to secure the sales/orders.One position will focus on specification support, the other on compliance activities.Both positions involve:Delivering front-line technical support to customers and internal teamsManage/resolve customer queries and complaintsPrepare and interpret thermal transmittance calculations (U-value)in accordance with BR443 and BS EN ISO 6946 standardsConduct condensation risk analyses in accordance with BS 5250 and BS EN 13788Perform take-off and quotation services for the cavity tray product rangeDevelop ventilation strategies for residential and commercial propertiesHandle special enquiries for non-standard product requestsLog and monitor customer enquiries, identifying trends and potential issues.The specification role includes:Provide specification support to internal Roofing and Construction sales teams.Manage and maintain NBS specifications and BIM content for the product range.The compliance role includes:Maintain and update product documentationSupport the expansion of the companys Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) through data capture and product assessmentsBoth roles will be office based, so the support you provide is typically via phone/email or video call, but some travel will occasionally be required to assist on projects and site visits.Hours of Work:Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pmAbout youYou will be a confident technical administrator with strong attention to detail and experience providing technical support to colleagues/customers via phone/email/in person.You will have experience in a similar role within the construction sector, ideally for a construction products manufacturing business.You will also haveExcellent communication skills (both written and verbal)Knowledge of the construction industry and construction productsGood numerical skillsAbility to learn quicklyTeam working skillsComfortable adapting and reacting the changing prioritiesExperience using Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Outlook, Teams, Excel)AutoCAD / Revit experience desirableAbout our BenefitsAnnual salary: Up to £30,000 (depending on experience)Training and opportunities to grow your career with usCompany PensionSIP
