Job Role: Deputy Manager / Assistant Manager, Children's Home

Salary £ - £37,600 Up to £37.6k DOE plus time and a third for overtime
Service: Children’s Residential Care Home
Service Users: Young People age 6 to 17, Emotional Behaviour Disorder
Home Size: 3 Young People is Max occupancy
Reporting To: Registered Manager
Contract Type: Permanent / Full-Time
Excellent opportunity for an experienced, qualified candidate to join the team in one of our children's residential homes. Our client is a rapidly expanding organisation currently offering a very competitive salary plus benefits, including a quality bespoke training package and generous remuneration for sleep-in shifts. They specialize in supporting Children and Young People who have suffered early life trauma, neglect, or abuse and may display challenging behaviours.

The main duties of this role include:
* To lead the team to deliver high-quality care to our young people
* To ensure that all risks are safely managed in line with the company policies and procedures
* To communicate effectively with the team regarding the plans for the day
* To review the young people's care plans and other associated documentation
* To undertake an in-depth quality and bespoke training package
* To attend/chair staff meetings and be proactive in developing and improving the service model
* Job Requirements:
* To provide positive parenting
* To have exceptional communication skills
* To have sound working knowledge of current legislation e.g., Children's Homes Regulations 2015 (including quality standards)
* Essential Requirements:
* Must have a full manual driving licence
* Must be fully flexible and have the ability to work unsociable shift patterns
* Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent
* The desire to develop into a Registered Children's Home Manager
