Central Belt of Scotland A well-established groundworks contractor based in the Central Belt of Scotland is looking to recruit an experienced Setting Out Engineer to support the delivery of a strong pipeline of projects across the region. The company delivers a range of groundworks and infrastructure packages for residential and commercial developments and has a steady workload across multiple live sites. The Role As a Setting Out Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting site teams and ensuring accurate setting out across groundworks and infrastructure packages. Key responsibilities will include: Setting out for foundations, drainage, roads, and external works Interpreting and working from technical drawings and site plans Carrying out as-built surveys and QA checks Working closely with site managers and subcontractors Maintaining accurate site records and documentation Ensuring work is delivered in line with design specifications and programme Requirements Previous experience working as a Setting Out Engineer within groundworks or civil engineering Experience setting out drainage, foundations, and roads Proficient with setting out equipment such as Leica, Trimble, or Topcon Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Valid CSCS card Full UK driving licence What’s on Offer Competitive salary / day rate depending on experience Long-term opportunity with a busy and growing contractor Projects located across the Central Belt of Scotland Opportunity to work on a variety of residential and commercial developments If you would like to find out more about this opportunity, please apply with your CV or contact us directly for a confidential discussion.
