Prospero Teaching are looking for dedicated aspiring/ experienced SEN Tutors to join our growing team in Portsmouth, supporting students who require alternative provision across a wide age range-from primary school to post-16 education.
We offer multiple opportunities with flexible hours, allowing you to work part-time or full-time depending on your availability. Whether you're looking for a few hours a week or a full-time schedule, we have roles to suit your lifestyle.
As a Tutor, you will:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging sessions that meet the needs of students.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
* Record student progress and report on this weekly.
* Be understanding, empathetic and patient.
* Record attendance.
* Be organised, dependable and creative.
* Be calm, fair and adaptable.
About you:
* Nurturing and caring nature
* Patient, kind and understanding
* Strong understanding of the National Curriculum
* Organised
* Comfortable to support secondary aged pupils with English, Maths and possibly Science too or comfortable to Mentor young people.
* Have experience of working with learners with SEN/SEMH needs.

* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
* Provide references upon request
* Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
