Vehicle Technician / Prep Technician Elland HX5 £30,000 – £40,000 (Depending on experience) Flexible Hours 1 in 3 Saturdays We're hiring for a high-end dealership working with premium Luxury vehicles and Supercars (£50K–£100K range), looking for a well-rounded Vehicle Technician who can confidently handle prep, repairs, and diagnostics to a high standard. This is a hands-on, varied role — not just inspections. You'll be responsible for ensuring vehicles are mechanically sound, retail-ready, and fault-free. What you'll be doing (balanced role): Vehicle prep for sale – ensuring cars meet retail standards - Servicing & mechanical repairs - Fault finding & diagnostics (using modern diagnostic tools) - PDI inspections (approx. 25% of the role) - Basic bodywork / cosmetic fixes (where required) - Road testing vehicles - Completing job cards & quality control checks Must-haves: NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent hands-on experience / main dealer training) - Strong fault finding & diagnostics capability - Solid experience in servicing and repair work - Comfortable with vehicle prep for sales environments - Experience using diagnostic tools job card systems - High attention to detail — zero corner-cutting mindset Nice to have: Exposure to premium / high-end vehicles (Mercedes, BMW, Audi, etc.) - Experience in dealership or retail automotive environments - Any bodywork / cosmetic repair experience What they're looking for: A well-rounded technician, not a specialist in just one area - Professional, organised, and disciplined - Someone who takes ownership of vehicle quality - Passion for cars and pride in their work - Able to hit the ground running (no handholding) Process: Initial call - Face-to-face interview - Shadowing with senior technician Interested?
