Offer: Up to £55k + overtime + vehicle + private medical
Talentometry has partnered with an Industrial Automation Engineering Consultancy to expand their Industrial ICT team. Clients range from Defence, large multinational industrial entities to the UK Government.
The role involves travel to various UK sites (travel time paid). Key responsibilities include:
* Network Management: Design, configure, and maintain networks, including switching, routing, security, and wireless technologies. Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and optimize networks.
* Server and Client Configuration & Support: Manage servers and client systems, ensuring stability, security, and performance. Install and maintain hardware and software.
* Patch Management: Implement and oversee patching processes to keep systems secure and up-to-date. Address vulnerabilities proactively.
* Backup and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement backup solutions to protect critical data.
* Collaboration and Documentation: Work with teams to understand IT needs and document configurations and procedures.
* Monitoring and Reporting: Use tools to track system performance and generate reports.
* User Support: Provide technical support to end-users.
About You: Candidates should have experience managing systems underpinning critical infrastructure or production environments, with:
* At least 5 years of practical experience.
* Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, wireless networks.
* Experience with network security protocols.
* CISCO CCNA or equivalent certification.
Preferred Skills:
* VMware VCP
* Microsoft MCP
* SOC, SIEM, SNMP
* Interest in IoT/OT/ICS
* Network monitoring tools experience
