Contract type – Fixed Term Appointment, Ends March 2029 (with the possibility of extension or permanency but no guarantee)

What you’ll do

The Works Supervisor will plan, deliver, and supervise work programmes for contractors and staff to ensure compliance with the UK Forestry Standard and UK Woodland Assurance Standard. Assist in setting and maintaining standards in all aspects of forest and woodland management to help meet business plan targets.

Where you’ll work

The post will be covering our Cleveland beat with the office base initially at Forestry England’s Yorkshire Office in Pickering. The office base will move to the Dalby Forest Office in autumn 2027. Regular travel around Forestry England’s estate in Yorkshire will be required. There will be occasional trips outside of Yorkshire for Forestry England-wide meetings, which may require an overnight stay.

Alongside your salary, Forestry England contributes an average of 28.97% towards your pension. You will become a member of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension Scheme.
