The Role
To assist with the planning, organising and controlling of all activities within the catering department and associated areas, in accordance with Trust requirements.
This role will cover certain jobs like:
1. Control & organisation of shift, supervision of 25 staff
2. Cash control
3. Cover Annual leave
4. Rota planning & staff training
5. Delivering meal service to patients 3 times per day
6. Public and staff restaurant.

What we'll need you to bring
7. Training and or qualifications required: Numerate, literate and practical.

13. Absence Management.
14. Level of experience required: 1-2 years in a busy Catering environment.
It would be great if you also have
15. Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate.
16. City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or SVQ level 2 Professional Cooking.
17. Past experience within a Catering Environment.
18. Knowledge of Systems and Processes. Example: HACCP
19. Knowledge of Nutrition & Dietetics
20. Management of aggression
21. Infection control
22. C.O.S.H.H
23. Fire Safety
24. Understanding and use of Information Technology.
25. Cash handling/ reconciliation.
26. Good Interpersonal skills.
27. Ability to follow instructions, policies and procedures.
28. Ability to work alone or part of a team.
29. Competence in completion of documentation.

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Catering within University Hospital Monklands.
The working pattern for this role will be variable, can include weekends.
