Weighbridge Clerk Location: Ketton Shifts: Rotating shifts Salary: Competitive The Weighbridge Clerk is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the weighbridge function and transport plan. This role ensures the effective management of transport resources, drivers, and site operations, working closely with central planning and other departments to ensure efficient and compliant operations. Key Accountabilities Manage the daily operation of the weighbridge function and transport plan. Process vehicles and transport resources on a daily basis. Maintain accurate database records for all resource requirements. Ensure the centralised transport plan is achieved. Manage available resources across relevant sites and depots. Ensure drivers adhere to instructions and procedures as detailed in the drivers’ folder. Provide day-to-day management of drivers. Liaise and communicate effectively with maintenance facilities, works teams and the central planning office. Maintain good industrial relations, including managing disciplinary procedures where required. Ensure company vehicles are kept clean internally and externally. Carry out required site inductions. Follow all IMS procedures relevant to the role. Record, investigate and respond to customer complaints. Ensure all drivers’ tachographs are analysed in line with legislation. Knowledge & Experience Good knowledge of transport legislation. Experience managing or supervising drivers or transport resources. Understanding of weighbridge and transport operations (desirable).
