Job Description
Responsibilities include:
1. Conduct all duties required in a safe and efficient manner
2. Successfully complete training in areas such as confined space entry, fall protection, lockout, WHMIS, radiation
3. Operate and troubleshoot independently once trained in an area
4. Act as a peer trainer for process areas after gaining competence in the six process areas
5. Operate all mandatory mobile equipment competently
6. Take on leadership roles (lead hand, project lead, new circuit commissioning, etc.) as required
7. Participate actively in weekly safety huddles
8. Main responsibilities include: Ore Receiving, Leaching, CCD/Tailings, Clarification/SX, Precip/Calcining, JEB, SUE Water Treatment, and Central Control Room
9. Support Operational Excellence efforts and OE Culture
10. Comply with all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures of Orano
11. Promote and adhere to Orano Canada’s values: Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Respect and People Development, Cohesion and Team Spirit, and Integrity, Responsibility
Skills and qualifications:
1. Residents of Saskatchewan’s North (RSN) will be given preference
2. Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations at a mill, mine, or industrial facility; experience at a uranium mill is an asset
4. Applicants with 10+ years of experience will be considered for senior roles
5. Leadership experience (e.g., lead hand) is an asset
6. Experience with solvent extraction circuits is an asset
7. Willing to undertake essential skill development
8. Basic computer skills required; experience with Delta-V, PI Vision, and Access Database is an asset
9. Mechanical aptitude for understanding equipment such as pumps, valves, filters, agitators
10. Class 5 valid driver’s license is an asset
11. Dependable with the ability to work independently
12. Good communication skills
