Westfield Power Station primarily burns poultry litter.\n\nUnder the supervision of the Maintenance Manager and the Operations and Maintenance Coordinators, the focus of the Maintenance Apprentice will be to assist with the routine and defect maintenance work to ensure the reliability, availability and output of the plant and equipment are achieved whilst maintaining the highest levels of safety.\n\n- You will spend 3 days at college and 2 days onsite per week. - The apprenticeship will take up to 4 years to complete. - You will choose your discipline, mechanical or electrical. ⢠Assist with routine and non-routine maintenance activities in accordance with approved processes and procedures.\n\n⢠Assist with the investigation of plant problems and identify solutions.\n\n⢠Assist with the preparation and presentation of technical reports.\n\n⢠Assist with maintaining work and activity records.\n\n⢠Assist with carrying out continuous plant condition monitoring routines.\n\n⢠Assist with ensuring effective planning is in place with adequate and competent resources available.\n\n⢠Ensure that safe working practices and procedures are adhered to in line with the SHE Management System.\n The successful candidate will ideally have Highers in Maths, English and Science, a basic understanding of maintenance engineering, be enrolled or looking to enrol on an apprenticeship course and preferably hold a current driving licence. This position requires a high degree of flexibility, self-motivation, initiative, and the ability to work well as part of a team. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and IT skills.
