LCV Technician (Vans)
Hours: 40 hours per week, rotating shifts: 06:00 – 14:30 / 13:30 – 22:00 + alternate Saturday mornings
Contract: Permanent
Earning Potential (OTE)
Hourly Rate: Up to £21.00 per hour.
Basic Salary: Up to £43,680 per year.
Overtime Rate: Paid at time-and-a-half (1.5x) – up to £31.50 per hour.
Realistic OTE: £46,000 – £50,000+ per year with available overtime.
Overview
We're looking for an experienced LCV Technician (Vans) to join an expanding team in Bristol. This role offers a competitive hourly rate, overtime paid at time-and-a-half, and a rotating shift pattern with alternate Saturday mornings. You'll benefit from an individual training and development plan, 25 days holiday (rising to 30 with service), a healthcare cashback scheme, and a pension with employer contribution up to 5%.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on light commercial vehicles to main dealer standards.
Perform computer-aided diagnostics and fault-finding on a range of vans.
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with workshop procedures.
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold high workshop standards.
What You'll Need
A recognised Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle or Van Maintenance (NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI) or equivalent.
Proven experience working on vans, ideally with a dealership background.
Excellent diagnostic and all-round van repair skills.
A full UK driving licence.
