The Mill, one of Lurgan's most respected cafés is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter/Runner to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis. The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in supporting the Kitchen and Front of House staff by ensuring cleanliness and organisation across all areas of the business.
Responsibilities
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and main café area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use
* Support Front of House staff during busy service periods by providing assistance as needed, such as running tables, clearing tables and taking orders
* Dispose of waste appropriately and ensure recycling practices are followed.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential.
* A keen interest in hospitality and customer service.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Good communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.
Our opening hours are 9am - 3.30pm every day and this job would generally be 11am-4pm a few days a week.
Part time hours approximately.
