Senior Estimator Location: Medway Salary: £50,000 – £75,000 Package We are working with a well-established and growing contractor specialising in surfacing, highways, and civil engineering works, delivering projects across both public and private sectors. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Estimator to join their commercial team. The Role As a Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction and tendering process, taking ownership of bids from initial enquiry through to submission. You will be responsible for: Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation Producing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost plans Managing and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations Identifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering options Liaising with clients, engineers, and internal teams Supporting the commercial team with bid strategy and pricing decisions Project Types Highways and road surfacing Carriageways and footways Groundworks and infrastructure Local authority and framework projects What We’re Looking For Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within: Surfacing, highways, civils, or groundworks Strong knowledge of tendering and estimating processes Experience working with NEC contracts (highly desirable) Ability to produce first-principles estimates and detailed cost plans Commercially aware with strong analytical skills Confident communicator with the ability to manage multiple tenders Qualifications (Desirable) Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management Relevant industry certifications (CSCS, etc.) What’s On Offer Competitive salary of £50,000 – £75,000 (depending on experience) Opportunity to join a growing and forward-thinking contractor Long-term career progression within a stable business Exposure to a wide range of civils and infrastructure projects Westin Par values diversity and promotes equality.
