Intermediate / Senior Quantity Surveyor

Salary: Up to £45,000 (depending on experience)

The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Intermediate or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a forward-thinking consultancy. You’ll play a key role in the delivery of a diverse range of projects, taking ownership of cost management and contract administration tasks while mentoring junior team members.
The role offers autonomy, career development, and exposure to both pre- and post-contract work within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage cost planning, budgeting, and financial reporting across multiple projects
* Prepare and review Bills of Quantities, tender documentation, and procurement strategies
* Oversee contract administration, valuations, and final account settlements
* Lead client meetings and liaise with design and project teams
* Provide mentorship and guidance to Assistant QS team members
* Contribute to business development and client relationship management
Essential Requirements
* BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
* Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience within a consultancy or main contractor environment
* Strong technical knowledge of cost management and construction contracts
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
* Ambition to progress professionally (RICS chartered or working towards chartership)
* Eligible to work in the UK and hold a valid UK driving licence
Desirable
* Experience in residential and mixed-use developments
* Proficiency in software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or MS Excel
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
