An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our small team at Ach-an –Eas Care Home in Inverness as a Domestic Assistant. Here at Ach-an-Eas, we put the patient at the heart of everything we do and each colleague within our Care home plays a key role in how we support our residents.

The Domestic Assistant works as part of a multi-disciplinary team, delivering a high standard of cleanliness throughout the home for our residents. Successful candidate will provide cleaning services such as attending to the laundry room and also in house cleaning services.

Previous experience is desirable, but training is given and opportunities to progress within the team are encouraged. Staff must be flexible, adaptable, and work to support other staff.

Shifts are on a rotational basis hour to be discussed. Enhancements are paid for weekend and out of hours work.

This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Heath and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
