A leading organistion in the Gloucestershire area requires a number of Cloud Engineers to join its growing team! This role is focused on maintaining the reliability, security, and performance of Azure infrastructure, Linux systems, and Kubernetes-based services.
The successful candidate will play a key part in supporting production and development environments—monitoring system health, resolving incidents, improving automation through scripting, and contributing to long-term infrastructure planning. The role spans cloud operations, virtualization, and container orchestration, offering exposure to a broad and modern infrastructure stack.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with Linux system administration, Kubernetes operations, Azure cloud services, and scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Experience supporting Kubernetes clusters in production, including Helm, ingress, RBAC, and persistent storage.
* Comfortable supporting and maintaining both Windows and Linux servers in a hybrid environments.
* Strong understanding of core networking and security concepts (VPNs, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, NTP).
* Experience supporting enterprise backup solutions, DR strategies, and monitoring platforms.
* Solid grasp of IT operations principles: uptime, scalability, incident response, and change management.
* Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Ansible) to streamline operations.
* Understanding of database platforms (e.g. SQL Server, Postgres).
