Role Overview
We are a well‑established development team looking to strengthen our front‑end expertise. This role will initially focus on migrating a legacy ASP.NET Web Forms/MVC application to a React‑based Single Page Application (SPA) and thereafter continue to evolve as required. You’ll also contribute to new feature development and collaborate on API integrations. While primarily a front‑end role, there’s opportunity to learn back‑end development in C# and .NET if you’re interested, although this is not a requirement.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist and potentially lead with the migration of a legacy web application front‑end to React SPA.
* Build reusable components and front‑end architecture using modern React.
* Develop new features and maintain existing functionality.
* Integrate with RESTful APIs and collaborate with back‑end developers.
* Participate in code reviews and learn best practices for performance and maintainability.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Practical experience with React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS.
* Understanding of state management (e.g., Context API).
* Understanding of good practices for React and general front‑end development.
* Familiarity with RESTful APIs (understand how to communicate with an API).
* Knowledge of front‑end build tools (Vite etc.).
* Not afraid of the challenge of migration projects and legacy concepts.
* Appreciation for responsive design and user experience UI/UX.
Desirable Skills
* Tailwind / CSS and other front‑end styling tools and frameworks.
* Experience with or knowledge of unit testing (Jest, React Testing Library).
* Interest in cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
* Exposure to C#/.NET or willingness to learn.
