We are looking for a keen Fund Accountant to join our award-winning team. This role reports to the Head of Operations and is focused on oversight and governance of our service providers, ensuring fund accounting activities comply with relevant regulations and client requirements.
Responsibilities
* Ensure adherence with relevant regulatory aspects and adapt to changes in the regulatory environment using initiative.
* Coordinate Fund Accounting relationships with main partners (Custodian, Depository, Front-Office, Risk & Compliance, and Audit) to meet client requirements.
* Prepare periodical Fund reporting (including year-end) for submission to compliance and FCA as applicable.
* Support the development of the Fund Accounting function within the operations team’s oversight functions.
* Address Partner Fund inquiries for Funds we oversee.
* Identify risks in your area of responsibility and, where appropriate, notify your People Manager and the Operational Risk Manager.
* Identify and execute continuous process improvements.
* Deputise for the Senior Fund Accountant when required.
About You – The Value You’ll Bring
* Relevant (Fund) Accounting experience within an asset management industry or similar.
* ACCA (or equivalent) certificate holder.
* Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
* Knowledge of trade lifecycles and investment management processes across financial instruments (including equities, fixed income and derivatives).
* Experience in an analytical role with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improvements.
* Planning, organisation, time and data management, and strong communication skills to explain technical matters to the wider organisation and customers.
* Pro-active, self-motivated team player with the ability to manage a varied workload and support other team members as needed.
