Signatus is recruiting on behalf of a well-established law firm in Derry for an experienced Legal Secretary to join their Family Law team. This is a key support role within a fast-paced practice, suited to someone highly organised, detail-driven, and confident in handling sensitive matters with discretion.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing legal documents, correspondence, and court forms.
* Managing solicitor diaries, court dates, and appointment scheduling.
* Handling client communication via phone, email, and in-person.
* Liaising with courts, counsel, and external agencies.
* Maintaining accurate case files, both electronic and paper-based.
* Assisting with controllership, legal aid applications, and billing processes.
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience as a legal secretary, ideally within family law.
* Familiarity with controllership procedures is a distinct advantage.
* Strong client service approach and professional communication skills.
* High attention to detail and competent IT skills.
* Able to manage time effectively and prioritise in a busy environment.
