Position

An opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse - within the endoscopy team at University Hospital Ayr

What You Will Do

You will work within the Surgical Directorate within the Endoscopy Unit and is employed by NHS Ayrshire and Arran, General Hospital – making them accountable for all clinical decision making undertaken and for all clinical assessment and treatment of a delegated case load.

Applications are invited from motivated and enthusiastic registered nurses with a desire to develop their skills within an endoscopy setting looking after the needs of patients during their endoscopic journey. A comprehensive mentorship programme is available to support development within the department.

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job


* Current NMC registration
* A genuine interest in caring for patients with gastrointestinal, biliary and respiratory disorders
* Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently and effectively within a large multi-disciplinary team
* Ability to be flexible and reliable within the team and department
