Finance Officer - South Belfast – 12 Month FTC
Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a fantastic organisation in South Belfast who are seeking a Finance Officer to join their team. This is a full-time role for a fixed term period of 12 months with view to permanency.
Working independently, the Finance Officer will take control of the day-to-day finance within the organisation, and will be responsible for completing the following duties:
* Maintain the purchase order, invoicing, and payment systems and processes
* Maintain the sales ledger, consulting with other teams to ensure accuracy of invoicing and receipts information on all IT systems, including processing of invoices and receipts
* Reconciling data from differing sources to ensure consistency of data
* Source potential suppliers for goods/services provided and prepare concise reports to enable effective decision making
* Preparing reconciliations of all bank/credit card accounts for review and approval
* Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register
* Reconcile Creditor & Debtors accounts
* Prepare quarterly cash projection reports
* Assist in the preparation of the annual budget
* Prepare year-end Financial Statements to trial balance stage
* Working alongside management assisting with the preparation of periodic reports
* Dealing with queries and requests from both Internal and External Auditors
The Person:
* Applicants will be able to work independently and will have the ability to liaise with suppliers, internal staff and stakeholders.
* Applicants will have excellent communication skills and will work well as part of the wider team.
* Applicants will have 3+ years finance experience in a similar role and will be conversant with Sage software.
* An ATI accounting technician qualification is preferred but is not essential.
