Role: Teacher of Art and DT
The ability to teach Art, DT, or a combination of both will be considered. This post is to teach across two academies for the academic year 25/26. We aim to make it a single academy role from September 2026.
Academy: Outwood Academy Acklam and Outwood Academy Ormesby
Start Date: 01/09/2025
Salary Scale M1UPS3: Full time.

Outwood Academy Acklam and Outwood Academy Ormesby are vibrant secondary academies located in Middlesbrough, with strong academic and pastoral teams dedicated to supporting staff and students, including those with special needs. The academies focus on academic achievement and creating an empowering environment for students.
About the role:
As a subject teacher, you will be expected to perform professional duties in line with UK standards, academy policies, and your subject expertise. You should promote high standards through effective teaching, including preparing and developing lesson resources aligned with the curriculum, as directed by your department head and senior leaders.
You will be responsible for classroom management and coordinating class work with support staff, evaluating lessons, and incorporating student feedback for continuous improvement.
Applicants must hold UK QTS. If trained overseas, relevant evidence that your qualification equates to UK QTS is required.
