Our client has an opportunity for a NC Programmer to join them on a nights position. You will be leading lead continuous improvement initiatives and support longer term cycle time & efficiency projects.
Role: NC Programmer
Location: Broughton, Flintshire
Hours: 12 hour nights - 7pm to 7am - 3 days on, 4 days off
Hourly Rate: £36.70 per hour + 38% shift uplift
Clearance: BPSS required before starting
What you'll be doing:
Provide lineside support within A350 Station 80 Manufacturing environment as part of the support team.
Define NC Programs according to the Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering specifications.
Support jigs and tools specification, making numerical simulations, validating and optimizing NC Programs.
Develop, test and integrate the NC Program in the distribution system (DNC) or on the machine under the supervision of the Production Line or Shop floor.
Participate in the demonstration test with Work Preparation, Quality and Production.
Inputs: New Process need (or improvement), Engineering or Manufacturing Design model (material, tolerance, jigs, Digital Mock-Up,).
Requirements:
Minimum NVQ L4 / HNC or equivalent
Background in Manufacturing Engineering / NC Programming
Previous experience in a technical role using CATIA & SAP would be an advantage
Basic level of understanding the Aircraft build philosophy
