Key Responsibilities
Deliver personalised 1:1 and small group speech and language interventions in school settings.
Assess pupils communication needs and create clear, targeted therapy plans.
Adapt therapy approaches to suit individual developmental levels and communication styles.
Support pupils in developing speech, language, social communication, and confidence.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and wider professionals.
Maintain detailed session notes, track progress, and provide constructive feedback.
Contribute to creating a calm, consistent, and positive communication friendly environment.
Preferred Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Speech and Language Therapist.
Experience delivering therapy to children or young people (schools experience preferred).
HCPC registration (or eligibility to register).
Right to work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable
Experience working with students with SEND, including ASD, DLD, or SEMH needs.
Experience working within mainstream or specialist school settings.
Confidence delivering both direct therapy and indirect support (e.g., staff training, resources).
