Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm
The Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm, currently in late-stage development, will see up to 72 turbines located 15 km off the Angus Coast and connect to the National Grid at Cockenzie, East Lothian. Our projects are poised to play a key role in green economic recovery. Once complete, it will be one of Scotland’s largest single sources of renewable energy and power up to 1 million homes with clean electricity.
Summary of Assignment:
The aim of the role is to lead on distinct elements and provide wider support for offshore consenting activities for the Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm Project in the pre-construction and construction phases.
Responsibilities
1. Lead distinct elements of the offshore consents and environment activities for the Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm Project;
2. Work with the Offshore Consents Manager and wider consents team to deliver applications or variations to existing consents where required;
3. Support the discharging of offshore consent conditions for the Inch Cape Project;
4. Liaison with the Project Team, specialist consultants and Contractors to deliver documentation relating to consent variations and discharge of conditions;
5. Supporting on engagement with key external stakeholders and industry groups;
6. Working with the main project technical packages in the pre-construction and construction phases to ensure compliance;
7. Supporting the wider project into the construction phase working with the Project Team to ensure compliance;
8. Provide offshore environment and consenting input to the wider project team including interface with onshore transmission works;
9. Providing support with budget management, programme and risk management.

Problem solving including complex consenting issues and interface with wider project
Good communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
The ability to engage with and empathize with stakeholders
Knowledge:
Knowledge and experience of consenting and environmental management activities for offshore wind/marine projects is essential
Awareness of onshore consenting activities or construction is desirable
Qualifications:
Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (e.g. marine biology, environmental science/engineering, planning, geography, law)
