More about the role
In this role, you will take a central position in leading and delivering projects within Argos Retail, each of which plays a significant part in supporting our overarching strategy. Collaboration is at the heart of what you do, as you will work closely with various teams across the business, including Sainsbury’s Retail teams, Internal Communications, Transformation and Operations, Property, Labour, and Finance. Your responsibilities will include establishing comprehensive project plans and actively managing both risks and opportunities as they arise. You will monitor progress throughout each project, capturing valuable lessons to inform and enhance future project delivery.
Seeing projects through to completion, you will ensure that all key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and that critical deliverables are achieved both on schedule and within budget. You will be responsible for overseeing the communication of key messages, making certain these are delivered effectively through the most appropriate channels. Supporting the Director of Stores – Argos, you will prepare essential reports, presentations, and documents, and will ensure that the Director has all necessary pre-reads and information in advance of meetings. Additionally, you will assist with diary management, scheduling appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements to optimise the effective use of time. By leveraging key Retail metrics, you will drive innovation within the team, thereby enabling the Director of Stores to concentrate on strategic decision making.

Your organisational and planning abilities are well developed, allowing you to prioritise tasks effectively and manage competing demands. You remain composed under pressure, successfully navigating tight deadlines and adapting to changing priorities as required.
You bring valuable experience in analysing data and reporting, demonstrating the capability to interpret both operational and financial metrics. This enables you to provide insightful analysis and suggest practical outputs that support business objectives. Furthermore, you are comfortable working independently and proactively, efficiently managing your workload to meet agreed timescales without the need for close supervision.
Essential criteria
* Experience in project management and administrative support.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 skills to include Outlook, Word, OneNote, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint
* Experience using data analytics platforms
* Knowledge of Retail
Desirable
* Understanding of how to use CoPilot is also desirable.
* Experience using PowerBI and MicroStrategy are beneficial
