Audit Supervisor – Godalming, Surrey UK
A well-established and highly regarded mid-tier firm in Godalming is looking to hire a newly qualified ACA/ACCA to join their growing Audit team as a Supervisor.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone stepping up from Senior level who wants more responsibility, client exposure, and a clear route to Manager.
The Role
You'll take ownership of audits from planning through to completion, working closely with Managers while supporting and developing junior team members.
You'll gain exposure to a varied portfolio of SME clients across multiple industries, offering strong technical development and long-term progression.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead audits for a portfolio of small to medium-sized clients
* Plan and execute audit assignments from start to finish
* Identify key risk areas and design appropriate audit testing
* Review work of junior team members and provide constructive feedback
* Build strong relationships with clients and act as a key point of contact
* Work closely with Managers to ensure audits are delivered on time and to a high standard
* Contribute to the development and training of junior staff
What We're Looking For
* ACA / ACCA qualified (or international equivalent)
* Strong external audit experience within a UK accountancy firm
* Experience leading audits or ready to step up into a leadership role
* Technically strong with good attention to detail
* Confident communicator with the ability to build client relationships
* Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
