Salary: £125,000 basic + 30% bonus plus potential share options

Morgan McKinley is proud to be partnering with a privately owned, high-growth supplier to the UK’s takeaway and casual dining sector in the search for a commercially focused Managing Director to lead the business into its next phase of growth and development.
With a loyal customer base and daily deliveries across England and Wales, the business is a key player in its specialist food product niche. It has built a reputation for excellent service, dependable logistics, and strong client relationships, supplying a range of establishments from independent takeaways to national foodservice chains.
This newly created role represents a unique opportunity to professionalise and scale a well-established, family-run business while respecting its entrepreneurial heritage and customer-first ethos.
The business is seeking a high-impact Managing Director with a strong sales-led mindset and a clear focus on accelerating growth over the next 2, 3, and 5 years. This leadership hire will be instrumental in unlocking value by deepening existing client relationships and driving new business development. We're targeting someone dynamic, commercially astute, and hands-on — someone who thrives in front of customers and suppliers and isn’t afraid to push for ambitious, sustainable growth
The Opportunity
* Take full strategic and operational ownership of a £28M turnover business
* Develop and execute the company's vision, mission, and overall strategy in alignment with the board’s long-term objectives (2,3,5 year plans)
* Lead the development of new business opportunities and identify strategic partnerships, alliances, and acquisitions.
* Oversee commercial, financial, and day-to-day operations to ensure sustainable growth
* Enhance systems, processes and team capability to support scale
* Drive market expansion and operational efficiency
* Lead a committed team through a period of positive transformation
* Act as a trusted advisor to the founders and a key driver of long-term value
About You
* Proven senior leadership experience in foodservice, wholesale, FMCG, or distribution
* Track record of driving commercial growth and operational improvement
* Strong financial, operational and people leadership capabilities
* Experience within founder-led or family-owned businesses is highly desirable
* Comfortable in a hands-on, fast-paced environment with a strong customer focus
* Based in or willing to relocate to the Midlands (Warwickshire HQ)
