Head of Fundraising & Development
This is a rare & exciting opportunity to join the senior leadership team of RSVP, a specialist charity for children & adults subjected to sexual violence & sexual abuse. You will be responsible for fundraising & lead on securing RSVP’s income (approx. £1.6million per year), through a range of sources. You will also lead on impact and evaluation & contribute to the strategic direction of the organisation, communications and operations. You will also lead on service user involvement, working alongside people with lived experience of sexual violence & abuse to make key organisational decisions.
If you are a successful, senior & experienced fundraiser who has demonstrated innovation, creativity & an excellent track record in fundraising, this role could be for you. You will also need to show how you will live our big-hearted, bold, believing & trauma-informed values through this role.
Hours:30 hours a week. Days to be negotiated.
Salary:From £28,932.63 per year for 30 hours a week (full time equivalent from £36,648 (NJC 28) (dependent on experience) plus 3% pension contribution
Location:Hybrid role. You will work from home but be required to work in our offices (in Birmingham city centre) 1 to 2 days/week to ensure that you feel connected to & part of our team. During your induction period we require you to do more office working to give you a good introduction to RSVP, to learn about our full range of services & to meet team members.

Head of Children & Young People’s (CYP) Counselling & Wellbeing Services
This is a rare & exciting opportunity to join the leadership team of RSVP, a specialist charity for children & adults subjected to sexual violence & sexual abuse. You will be responsible for supporting the Chief Executive in meeting strategic objectives surrounding the provision of compassionate, timely and trauma-informed CYP counselling & wellbeing support; establishing & nurturing supportive relationships with partner CYP organisations; supporting our team in collective care to grow, flourish and develop in their roles and continue leading RSVP as a reflective and responsive organisation. Your role will also involve impact and evaluation, communications and operations.
If you have experience in offering and shaping trauma-informed CYP services, therapeutically supporting CYP and leading individuals with a relational approach, this role could be for you. You will also need to show how you will live our big-hearted, bold, believing & trauma-informed values through this role.
Hours: 38 hours a week (full time). Hours to be negotiated. Please note, some occasional out of hours work will be expected.
Location: Hybrid role. Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) Counsellor
Hours:
Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) Counsellor roles and roles supporting parents, carers and families. Part-time roles (3hrs 30mins a week up to 38hrs a week) consisting of varied days, times and locations available (City Centre, locations across Birmingham and working from home offering telephone and online counselling).
Location: This will be an outreach-based role which requires frequent travel across Birmingham to support children and young people in spaces where they are already accessing support and feel safe. A small number of hours will be working from our Birmingham City Centre premises.
You will provide support as a Child Sexual Exploitation Counsellor for children and young people (CYP) and those supporting them. You will offer compassionate, confidential, support to CYP of all genders, who currently are or have been subjected to sexual exploitation, sexual violence and abuse. You will also lead on developing and delivering a group for supporters (parents and carers) who are supporting children and young people subjected to sexual exploitation. You will work closely with our team of Independent Sexual Violence Advocates (ISVAs) who provide advocacy support for CYP who have been sexually exploited.
Purpose of the post:
* To offer a specialist, boundaried relational and trauma-informed child sexual exploitation (CSE) counselling that is responsive to children and young people aged 5 to 17 years of age who have been subjected to or at risk of sexual exploitation
* To offer specialist counselling and wellbeing support to parents, carers and families who are supporting children and young people subjected to sexual exploitation
* To develop and deliver a group for supporters (parents, carers and families) who are supporting children and young people subjected to sexual exploitation

* To offer counselling/therapy tailored to the individual needs and abilities of each young person

Children and Young Person’s Independent Sexual Violence Advocate (Trained CYP-ISVA)
Please note, we are also considering Social Workers for this role who have significant experience of working with children and young people. Any such successful applicant would be on a salary equivalent to an untrained ISVA (£14,888.50).
Hours: Part-time post, 19 hours per week. Hours negotiable.
£14,888.50 untrained ISVA (£29,777 (NJC 19) full time equivalent) plus 3% employer pension contribution
£15,682 as an accredited ISVA (£31,356 (NJC 22) full time equivalent) plus 3% employer pension contribution
Location: Mainly in our Birmingham city centre offices although some hybrid, remote working (with negotiation) is possible.
Contract: 12 month contract. The contract could be extended however, this depends on RSVP securing future funding for the role.
Purpose of the post:
To provide a high quality and victim/survivor-focused advocacy service to CYP who have been subjected to sexual violence, abuse, sexual exploitation and/or coercion, in order to:
* Provide emotional and practical support, at every stage of the victim/survivor journey
* Pro-actively and assertively advocate for those who have reported to the Police, are thinking of doing so, or choose not to report (safeguarding guidelines will be followed at all times).
* Ensure that the voices, needs, rights and legal entitlements of children and young people are heard, understood and acted upon by all individuals and organisations.
* Following safeguarding assessments and reduce risk to keep children and young people (and others) safe
* Ensure that victims/survivors can access the health and other support services that they need.
* Support the work of the CYP ISVA Team, and the wider ISVA Team (Adult, LGBT, Sex Worker and Race and Equality ISVAs) which may include working within Umbrella sexual health settings and other appropriate services as required.
* Work closely with our Counselling and Wellbeing Services Teams.

Treasurer (Board of Trustees)
The Treasurer is an officer of the RSVP Board of Trustees. The role of the Treasurer is to ensure that the finances and supporting financial control systems are kept in order. The Treasurer is not a bookkeeper, nor is the position a paid one. The Treasurer does not hold or maintain the financial records and does not have sole control of the cheque book. The Treasurer delegates the day-to-day financial management of the Charity to the CEO.

Helpline & Webchat Support Volunteers
The telephone helpline and online webchat services provide essential support to survivors and supporters. The helpline & webchat are operated by fully trained volunteers who work a weekly 3 hour shift and we ask that all volunteers commit for at least 6 months.
Helpline & webchat recruitment takes place twice a year, with full training provided. The training consists of four days over 4 weeks.
Our next scheduled training dates will be late summer/early autumn. The first two sessions will be held online; the final two will be in person. Feel free to complete an application form to be considered for the role.
There are opportunities for both qualified and unqualified counsellors (who are on a minimum of a level 4 counselling course) to join our team.
