Overview
Andale Veterinary Centre, Widnes, is looking for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our dynamic team. The role involves a wide range of cases including consultations, routine surgeries and medical cases. We welcome both experienced vets and those starting their career in a supportive environment that promotes growth.
Responsibilities
• Conduct consultations and medical case management. • Perform routine surgeries. • Collaborate with a team of professionals in a small animal facility. • Participate in team meetings, appraisals and staff events as part of a five-veterinary-surgeon group. • Contribute to maintaining high clinical and client service standards in a RCVS-accredited practice.
Work pattern and location
Flexible rota patterns and working hours to support work-life balance. Typical full-time work up to 40 hours per week over a 4- or 5-day week.1 in 3 Saturday mornings (9–12). No out-of-hours, bank holidays, or on-call requirements. Located with easy access to major transport links (M57, M62, Mersey Gateway), Wirral, North Wales, John Lennon Airport, Liverpool City Centre, the Lake District and Manchester. State-of-the-art, purpose-built small animal facility with 6 consulting rooms, on-site lab, digital x-ray, ultrasound, dental x-ray and two theatres, plus separate dog and cat wards. RCVS-accredited and a training practice with large on-site parking.
Team and culture
We are a close-knit team with supportive leadership including the Practice Director, Senior Veterinary Surgeon, Head Nurse and Head Receptionist. The practice employs 5 veterinary surgeons, 5 Receptionists, 8 RVNs, 1 SVN and a VCA. Opportunities for learning, regular appraisals and team events are available.
