Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing - Planned Maintenance & Voids
Nottingham | Permanent | £50K all in
We are working with a leading Social Housing contractor to recruit an experienced and successful Quantity Surveyor to join their team delivering a planned maintenance works & voids contract in Nottingham.
We are looking for a proven commercial professional ideally with experience in Social Housing refurbishment programmes, knowledge of internal and external planned maintenance programmes, and a comprehensive understanding of subcontractor procurement and cost management, the CVR process, as well as excellent client relationship skills.
As the Quantity Surveyor for our client, some of your responsibilities will include:
1. Control all expenditure
2. Reconcile cost/value reports & profit forecasts
3. On-board subcontractors/suppliers
4. Ensure value for money & conduct financial assessments
5. Manage day-to-day cost control & monitoring & reporting
6. Process subcontractor requests for payment via applications & invoices
7. Attend project & company-related meetings
8. Ensure timely cash flow management
9. Maintain & develop professional relationships with clients & customers
Essential Quantity Surveyor Experience:
* Experience in planned maintenance & voids
* Degree or other technical qualification in Quantity Surveying
* Experience with a main contractor
* Strong commercial awareness
* Proven track record delivering contracts on time and within budget
* Contractual awareness
* Negotiating, communication & presentation skills
* Knowledge of Supply Chain management
* RICS / CIOB qualification - Preferred
