We are looking for a Quality Engineer for a 9-Month contract based in Derby on behalf of Rolls-Royce who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planets vital power needs.
Job description - the role:
In this role you will implement and deliver the quality activities across the area. You will ensure compliance to Rolls-Royces processes, procedures and systems.
As a Quality Engineer you will be responsible for:
Governance of all Quality-related activity
Being recognised as a point of contact for all Quality issues in the area
Providing coaching and support to all team members when performing quality actions
Identifying opportunities to improve quality and implementing plans to deliver that improvement
Coordinating data reporting and sharing best practice across the area
Liaise with all support functions on behalf of the area for all quality matters
What we require from the candidate:
Strong experience of working in a quality, business improvement or Manufacturing Engineering role.
Strong customer focus.
Ability to effectively influence and challenge appropriately at all levels.
Ability to lead cross-functional and multi-skilled teams is essential.
Understanding how organisations work and ability to use both formal channels and informal networks to get things done.
Self-management of time keeping, daily prioritising and focusing on Blue Chips is key to ensure basics are covered.
