Occupational Therapy, Clinical Support Worker
Band 3 – NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde – Stobhill Mental Health Campus, North East Glasgow.
Shift pattern – 08:30‑16:30 Monday‑Friday.
Role Overview
Join the Inpatient Mental Health Team as a Clinical Support Worker, supporting the Occupational Therapy team across adult acute admissions, older people’s mental health and rehabilitation. The postholder will facilitate group and individual therapy, assist ward‑based therapeutic activity, provide home visits and support community work as prescribed by the qualified occupational therapist.
Key Responsibilities
* Support ward‑based therapeutic activity and community work as per the occupational therapist’s prescription.
* Facilitate individual and group therapy for inpatient and community patients.
* Assist with home visits and community work.
* Provide supervision and support to the clinical support worker team.
Qualifications and Experience
* HNC in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
* Experience as an occupational therapy support worker (desirable).
* Highly motivated, flexible and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Previous occupational therapy support worker experience desirable.
