An independent primary school for children aged 4 - 11 years old, located in Shenley, Hertfordshire. Catering for 450 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of morning and afternoon snacks and lunch with a small hospitality offering. This is a term-time only contract working 38 weeks a year and operates Monday to Friday. Additional benefit to this location is free on-site parking.
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our friendly team at our prestigious location in Radlett.
Your role will be crucial in maintaining the kitchen's hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards.
* Experience with pot wash duties is advantageous.
* Great team player.
* Assist chefs with food preparation.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness at all times.
* Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment.
* Use instructions and cleaning materials to clean heavy catering equipment, including air filters and extraction systems.
* Operate the industrial dishwasher.
We are looking for:
* Previous kitchen porter experience is preferred but not essential.
* Good organizational skills.
* Reasonable understanding and use of verbal English.
* Good standard of written English and reading skills.
* Experience in customer service or food preparation environments is a plus.
