Job Responsibilities
* Provide Materials Management service to the theatres within the Leeds General Infirmary (LGI).
* Support procurement and clinical colleagues in a customer‑facing capacity.
* Move and handle cages, push and pull items, and perform other manual handling tasks, including lifting.
* Use handheld data capture devices to maintain accurate stock records.
* Distribute goods to designated locations, put away stock and manage store rooms to agreed standards.
* Respond to urgent orders and communicate clearly with end users.
* Serve as the main point of contact for clinicians and build rapport.
What you will bring to the role
* A sharp eye for stock: knowledge of inventory management and stock rotation.
* Confidence with handheld scanners and handheld devices.
* Experience navigating ordering systems (Oracle, NHS Supply Chain, Supply X, etc.).
* Effective communication style: clear, friendly, professional.
* Solid computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
* A team spirit: collaborative and independent working, enjoying connecting with teams across the Trust.
Qualifications
Relevant experience in materials or inventory management required. Physical fitness required for manual handling and lifting.
