About the Role
Smile Dental Centre is recruiting a practice manager, ideally to work 4 days per week. The main responsibilities of the role include:
1. Ensure that the practice meets regulatory and contractual standards whilst remaining financially viable;
2. Provide solid leadership based on a sound knowledge of business management, finance, planning, and human resource management, including recruitment;
3. Drive innovation and modernisation;
4. Meet reporting requirements and comply with local and national KPIs and contracts;
5. Coordinate and lead the operational delivery of services, engaging with staff, patients, etc;
6. Present and analyse data to monitor quality;
7. Attend meetings;
8. Effectively manage staff;
9. Develop effective partnerships with other organisations to benefit the practice;
10. Take responsibility for security, repairs, insurance, and maintenance of premises, services, and equipment;
11. Ensure compliance with all aspects of Health & Safety at Work legislation;
12. Manage all income, expenditure, and accounts, and prepare financial reports;
13. Implement and maintain systems under the direction of the partners;
14. Handle patient enquiries and suggestions, including oversight of the practice-based complaints procedure;
15. Review and update the practice’s information leaflet and website;
16. Handle practice publicity and health education materials;
17. Be involved in managing the computer system, including organising maintenance and developments;
18. Ensure practice compliance with data protection legislation;
19. Prepare practice business plans and annual reports as directed.
About the Candidate
* CQC experience;
* Experience working as a practice manager;
* Skills to motivate and drive a team forward;
* Private and NHS practice experience;
* CQC registered manager;
* Bookkeeping experience;
* Social media skills;
* Reliability, maturity, punctuality, willingness to learn, presentability, and hard work;
* Ability to work under pressure;
* Some experience in the medical/dental sector;
* Passion for dentistry;
* Management experience (desirable);
* Demonstrate an excellent can-do attitude;
* Excellent organisational skills;
* Fast learner and team player;
* Treatment coordinator skills and experience (desirable).
