Job Description:
Do you have an eye for detail and a creative flair? Do you enjoy a sales environment? Do you love meeting a diverse range of people and are a team player? Ever thought of being a Kitchen Sales Designer? If so, then Benchmarx Kitchen and Joinery would love to hear from you! You don't need to come from our sector, or have product knowledge; we will provide you with all the training and development you need. Benchmarx, established in 2006, is a major supplier to the UK's building and construction market.
Where will you be working?
This Part Time Kitchen Sales Designer role is based at our new West Swindon Benchmarx showroom at Caen View, Rushy Platt, Swindon, SN5 8WQ. It is within our busy Travis Perkins branch, which has a team of 6 colleagues providing excellent advice and service. The branch operates 5 vehicles (3 x 18T and 2 x 26T), and has a full tool hire team and our kitchen team. Customer footfall is high, and the workplace is busy. Your working hours will be Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 5:00 pm, and Saturday, 8 am - 12 pm, working 2 in 4 Saturdays.
Hours of work: This is a part-time role working 30 hours per week. We are open from 7 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday and 8 am to 12 pm on Saturdays. We are open to discussing the hours to suit this 30-hour workweek.
What’s in it for you?
We will provide Computer Aided Design (CAD) training, product knowledge, support, and development to help you succeed as a Kitchen Sales Designer.
Starting salary from £26.5k, pro-rata, depending on experience, plus uncapped commission. In your first year, you could earn an OTE of £32-35k.
22 days holiday plus bank holidays, totaling 6 weeks of annual leave (including bank holidays).
Colleague discounts across various Group businesses, including 20% off at Toolstation, and online discounts at leading retailers, theme parks, dining, and cinemas.
What will you be doing?
Successful Kitchen Sales Designers come from various backgrounds but share a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience. They work with traders and homeowners, producing accurate designs and quotes, understanding customer needs, and creating dream kitchens.
You will build a network of customers, meet sales targets, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. You will visit customers’ homes or sites to draw up designs on CAD and present them.
Safety is paramount; you will ensure colleagues and customers leave the showroom safely, following all safety policies and procedures.
Does this sound like you?
No prior industry experience is necessary. We seek transferable skills, a passion for customer service, a drive to chase sales, and a meticulous approach to design. Excellent communication skills, a friendly personality, motivation to exceed targets, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.
