This is a full-time, permanent role, suitable for experienced teachers or Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to make a significant impact in a supportive and inspiring environment. The Role As an Art and Photography Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, fostering creativity, and preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations. Key responsibilities include: Planning and delivering high-quality Art and Photography lessons across Key Stages 3–5. Designing projects that develop practical skills, creative thinking, and conceptual understanding. Preparing students for assessment, including GCSE, A-Level, and portfolio submissions. Providing constructive feedback to support student progress and achievement. Maintaining safe and organised studio spaces, including darkroom and digital photography areas. Contributing to curriculum development, departmental planning, and resource management. Supporting extracurricular activities such as art clubs, exhibitions, and photography competitions. Candidate Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong subject knowledge in Art and Photography. Excellent classroom management and organisational skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities. Knowledge of health and safety procedures for studio and photographic equipment.
