Safely and efficiently weld products in accordance with work instructions, by using specialized and approved tooling to perform skillful welds that are in-keeping with quality standards. Employees must be focused on safety, teamwork, task completion and customer satisfaction.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Notifies management of any product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions, and/or personal injuries
* Complies with state and federal law safety regulations in addition to Accrotool health, safety and security procedures
* Adheres to company policies and state and federal laws and regulations relating to employment, including promoting a workplace free of discrimination and harassment
* Ability to successfully pass a post-offer background check, physical and drug screen
* AWS certificate preferred
* Exhibits independent thinking and sound judgment, accompanied by proven problem solving/mechanical aptitude
* Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with team members and managers/supervisors
* Excellent time management with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
EDUCATION:
Minimum of a High School diploma or GED required with at least 2-year Welding Diploma, Journey Worker Welder or completion of a Degree program from a community college or technical program. 2 years of welding experience in a manufacturing/fabrication environment is preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
The successful candidate will be expected to endure constant standing and frequent walking. Lift and move products as required and/or directed. Ability to communicate effectively on a regular basis. Constant handling, grasping, repetitive motion job tasks requiring continuous eye/hand/foot coordination with good depth perception. Environmental conditions consist of frequent temperature changes. Up to 50 lb. maximum lifting and carrying on an occasional basis. Up to 100 lb. maximum pushing and pulling also on an occasional basis. Must be able to wear personal protection equipment, such as Welders mask, protective clothing, earplugs, safety glasses, and safety shoes. The employee must be able to perform the physical demands of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Overall physical exertion is classified as constant light to medium work.
JOB DUTIES:
* Ability to follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures
* Read and interpret blueprints, plans or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements
* Set-up and operation of welding machine
* Skillful and accurate TIG and MIG welding ability on various materials and dimensions
* Proficient welding on Aluminum and Stainless Steel
* Preparation of parts for welding including use of fixtures as necessary
* Ability to space the number of welds in accordance with varying conditions and materials to achieve proper fusion, strength and finish
* Proficient at conducting visual inspections of all weldments upon completion of work
* Troubleshoot issues as necessary to determine root cause analysis and inform supervision as appropriate
* Be aware of quality standards and ability to identify defects in products
* Must be able to meet production goals and time deadlines
* Take measures to protect metal from scratches and other potential imperfections
* Ensure outgoing products are in compliance with required specifications
* Be responsible to maintain a clean and orderly work area
* Daily safety conscious work effort. Notify management of any work-related injuries, safety concerns and/or near miss incident(s)
* Participate in all continuous improvement programs by offering suggestions and exhibiting initiative in areas within direct control
* Must have a willingness and flexibility to adapt to changing business needs, schedule and deadlines and perform other essential duties as assigned in support of operational success
