Overview
As a Team Leader with Leonard Cheshire you will become part of a fantastic team. You will provide effective supervision of a team of Support Workers, lead with passion and enthusiasm promoting positive outcomes for disabled people with a flexible and proactive approach. You will ensure our customers receive the very best care, personal support and assistance with daily life tasks. Supporting our Person Centred approach, you will ensure maximum independence for our customers and helping them to achieve individual aspirations. Responsibilities
* Provide effective supervision of a team of Support Workers.
* Lead with passion and enthusiasm, promoting positive outcomes for disabled people with a flexible and proactive approach.
* Ensure customers receive the best care, personal support and assistance with daily life tasks.
* Support the Person Centred approach to promote maximum independence and help customers achieve individual aspirations.
* Contribute to personal and professional development within the Leonard Cheshire team.
Qualifications
* Ideally have a level of professional development and registration (NVQ/SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, L4 NVQ/SVQ) or willing to work towards a relevant qualification.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
* Experience in supervising a team.
* Flexible and creative in working with customers and their families.
* Experience in working within a care setting.
* Flexibility to work within rostered hours and on-call rota where required.
Additional information
* From 1 December 2025, enhancement rates of £1.00 per hour will apply to night working (8pm Monday to 7am Friday) and weekend working (8pm Friday - 7am Monday). This does not apply to sleep-ins.
