Equine Senior Administrator / Head Receptionist
Full-time - 40hrs per week Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm.
Salary up to £34k per annum, depending on skills and experience.
We are a friendly and experienced team of equine vets, nurses and administrators providing first opinion work, 24/7 emergency care and elective surgery throughout the Thames Valley.
We are now seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Administrator / Head Receptionist to join our team, in this new role.
If you have a passion for outstanding customer service, with experience from a similar role managing people and are keen to make a difference in a busy veterinary environment, we would love to hear from you. You will need to have in-depth equine knowledge from either owning or working with horses (no veterinary experience is required).
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the team of two receptionists, to ensure we provide excellent customer service, juggling administration tasks and supporting the Practice Director in diverse duties from finances, Health & Safety and rotas.
The role will include answering calls, diary management, and welcoming clients to ensure every call or visit is a positive experience. You will manage appointment bookings, handle queries and take payments, while also managing medication. The opportunity to train as an SQP may be available.
You must be detail driven with excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a confident telephone manner, and have experience of using various IT systems (full training is given). A positive ‘can do' attitude is essential.
