We have an exciting role on offer within our Childrens Services as a Practice Improvement Strategic Lead.
About Us
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practice Improvement Strategic Lead within Childrens Social Care. This pivotal role reports directly to the Principal Social Worker and comes at a transformative time as we implement and embed our new practice model Safeguarding Together.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is passionate about practice development and improvement. You will play a key role in supporting and encouraging our workforce on this journey helping to shape and sustain excellent social work practice across the service.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the strategic development of practice improvement initiatives aligned with departmental council regional and national priorities.
* Support the Principal Social Worker in promoting excellent practice supervision and decision-making.
* Drive the implementation and fidelity of the new Safeguarding Together practice model.
* Chair complex multi-agency safeguarding meetings and strategic forums.
* Lead workforce development initiatives to build capacity and competence across social work teams.
* Oversee quality assurance processes and use performance data to inform continuous improvement.
* Provide senior management cover and deputise for the Head of Service when required.
* Collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver integrated and effective services for children and families.

* A qualified social worker registered with Social Work England.
* Experienced in leading change motivating teams and developing a performance culture.
* Skilled in multi-agency working quality assurance and strategic safeguarding.
* Knowledgeable about childrens legislation statutory responsibilities and best practice frameworks.
* A confident communicator and collaborator able to influence policy and practice across organisational boundaries.
