Overview
Our client is seeking a Business Analyst Consultant to join a growing technology consultancy delivering user-centred solutions across public sector, healthcare, and private sector environments. This is a hybrid role requiring regular on-site presence in client locations such as Newcastle, Leeds, or Manchester, alongside remote and office-based work. The position offers an opportunity to work on complex, high-impact projects within multidisciplinary agile teams. Salary: £45,000 – £52,000 per annum, plus a competitive benefits package.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams including product managers, developers, designers, and researchers to deliver user-focused solutions
* Engage with client stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements
* Apply business analysis techniques (e.g. SWOT, 5 Whys) to identify problems, evaluate options, and recommend solutions aligned with strategic goals
* Elicit, analyse, validate, and prioritise business and user requirements using tools such as process mapping, wireframing, and data analysis
* Define epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and non-functional requirements, ensuring traceability throughout delivery
* Conduct business modelling and process analysis to identify gaps and recommend improvements
* Support testing activities by defining scenarios and validating outputs against requirements
* Present complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Ensure all deliverables meet quality, security, and compliance standards
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst within large, complex organisations
* Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies and frameworks
* Experience working in Agile, multidisciplinary delivery teams
* Ability to manage stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively across all levels
* Experience analysing user needs and presenting insights in a data-driven, accessible manner
* Familiarity with industry standards such as digital service frameworks (e.g. government digital standards)
Additional Requirements
* Ability to travel regularly to client sites in Newcastle, Leeds, or Manchester (travel expenses not covered)
* Must hold active Security Check (SC) clearance or be eligible and willing to obtain it
* Experience working within public sector or healthcare environments
* Experience supporting digital service assessments and compliance processes
