Langham Recruitment are supporting a leading optics and photonics organisation in their search for a Senior Photonics Design Engineer to join their team in Torquay.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design advanced optical and photonic components and systems.
* Lead and manage team performance to deliver exceptional results.
* Develop and implement product development strategies.
* Collaborate on prototype construction and testing.
* Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders through presentations and reports.
Requirements:
* Degree in Engineering or Physics (PhD preferred).
* In-depth knowledge of fibre-optics and photonics technologies.
* Proficiency with optical design software such as Zemax.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
* Self-motivated with the ability to meet demanding deadlines.
* Background in satellite communications, industrial sensing, or biomedical imaging is advantageous.
