Electrical EngineerLocation: Barrow-in-Furness or Filton (Bristol)Duration: 12 monthsRate: £60 PAYE or £81.05Working Arrangements: Hybrid – 2 days every 2 weeks on siteWhat you’ll be doing:
* Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of an electrical power systems engineering team.
* Support the Engineering Manager in delivering high-quality design and analysis for platform power systems.
* Develop and maintain team capability, project plans, and schedules while resolving technical and delivery issues.
* Produce high-standard design documentation including diagrams, technical specs, justifications, and calculations.
* Ensure compliance with contractual, safety, environmental, and business process requirements.
* Perform technical reviews, presentations, and system acceptance activities.
* Support bids and proposals through accurate work estimation and planning.
What we’re looking for:Knowledge:
* Understanding of power system modelling, generators, switchgear, protection, or power electronics.
* Familiarity with defence standards (advantageous but not essential).
* Strong technical report writing and documentation skills.
* Experience across the engineering lifecycle from design to commissioning.
* BEng (Hons) / MEng or equivalent – Expected
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards – Preferred
