Role: Electrical Maintenance Technician – Shift
Location: Horsham, West Sussex
Type: Permanent
Shift: 4 on/ 4 off (2 days, 2 nights)
Hours: 06:30 – 18:30 / 18:30 – 06:30
SRG are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Technician for a successful and growing client based in Horsham, West Sussex.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving plant performance, ensuring operational efficiency and high engineering standards within a fast‑paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance
* Diagnose and repair faults across electrical systems, including:
* Sensors, relays, and contactors
* AC/DC motors
* Control panels and MCCs
* PLC systems (Siemens S7 experience preferred)
* Support plant availability, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Perform electrical fault finding and interpret technical drawings
* Work with controls and instrumentation, including temperature, pressure, and flow systems
* Maintain high standards of health & safety, compliance, and housekeeping
* Ensure all incidents, accidents, and near misses are reported promptly
* Contribute to engineering improvements and project work
Criteria
* Qualified in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (HNC or equivalent)
* Strong experience in industrial, manufacturing, or automated environments
* Competent in fault finding, diagnostics, and maintenance
* Ideally familiar with:
* PLC fault finding (any platform considered)
* Control and instrumentation systems
* 18th Edition (BS7671) is advantageous
