About The Role
We are currently seeking a Student Experience Coordinator to join our Student Services department at The Bedford College Group.
As a Student Experience Coordinator, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
* Student Enhancement & Wellbeing – Develops and delivers a cross-college enhancement programme focused on health, wellbeing, safety, and community engagement, including services like sexual health, period poverty, and stop smoking clinics.
* Student Voice & Union Leadership – Implements and manages the Student Voice structure and Students’ Union, facilitating meetings, events, and ensuring learner views are represented across college forums.
* Engagement & Environment – Manages the Student Common Room (Live Lounge), creating a welcoming space and promoting positive behaviour, values, and social development among students.
* Collaboration & Support Networks – Builds strong relationships with students, staff, and external agencies, making appropriate referrals and supporting personal, social, and educational development.
* Compliance & Continuous Improvement – Promotes safeguarding, EDI, and health and safety, maintains accurate records and data, and actively participates in training and development to enhance service delivery.
About You
* Qualifications & Experience – Holds a Level 3 qualification in Youth and Community Development or similar, with recent experience supporting young people and adults in formal/informal settings.
* Skills & Competencies – Proficient in Microsoft Office and record systems, with strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills, able to manage multiple tasks and deliver engaging activities.
* Student Support & Engagement – Builds effective relationships with diverse student groups, promotes services, and makes appropriate referrals to external agencies to support wellbeing and development.
* Professionalism & Values – Demonstrates high performance, reliability, and alignment with college values, maintaining professional boundaries and contributing positively to team and college reputation.
* Flexibility & Compliance – Willing to travel and work flexible hours, committed to safeguarding, EDI, health and safety, and continuous professional development, with a full driving licence.
