About the Role
Bath City FC is on a mission to grow as a competitive, community-focused football club that brings the city together. We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Volunteer Marketing Manager to support the Marketing Director in delivering the club’s marketing and communication strategy across all channels.
You’ll play a key role in leading and coordinating our match day media team while also helping to plan and execute wider marketing campaigns throughout the season. It’s a great opportunity to gain strategic and hands-on experience in sport marketing and be part of an ambitious club with big plans.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Support
* Work closely with the Marketing Director to help implement the club’s marketing strategy and calendar
* Contribute ideas to help grow attendance, commercial partnerships, and community engagement
Media Team Management
* Coordinate and manage the volunteer media team on match days (social media, photography, video, live updates)
* Ensure smooth coverage of pre-match, in-game and post-match content across all channels
* Provide guidance and feedback to media volunteers to help develop their skills
Campaign and Content Delivery
* Assist with planning and scheduling content for social media, email, and the club website
* Help produce marketing assets and collaborate with designers or creatives when needed
* Support club-wide campaigns such as season ticket pushes, merchandise launches, or community events
Club Communications
* Ensure the club’s tone of voice is consistent and aligned with its values
* Liaise with internal teams (commercial, operations, community) to help promote their news and initiatives
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in marketing, communications, or social media (agency or in-house)
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a small team
* A hands-on, collaborative approach – willing to get stuck in when it counts
* Passion for football, community, and the power of sport to bring people together
* Comfortable using tools like Photoshop, Mailchimp, Notion (or similar scheduling tools), and basic website CMSs (training can be provided)
What You’ll Get
* Experience working as part of a real football club marketing team
* A chance to shape the club’s public-facing story and deepen community ties
* Hands-on match day involvement at the iconic Cannon Clarke Stadium @ Twerton Park
* Support, guidance and collaboration from a Marketing Director with 25+ years of experience
* Great for career development, CV-building, or simply giving back to the club you love
